Les modules SV-L Pure Power réduisent les coûts d’installation

Thalheim, Allemagne / Montpellier, France.

Pure Power SV-L Modules Reduce Installation Costs

Montpellier, France / Thalheim, Germany. Sovello is presenting its new solar module “Pure Power SV-L low voltage” at the renewable energies tradefair energaïa in Montpellier from 7th to 9th December 2011. The SV-L series is offered in the output classes 225, 230, 235 and 240 Wp since autumn.

The SV-L series builds further on the advantages of its predecessor, the Pure Power SV-X series, adding around 10 percent module surface area. Project developers and electricians will be required to handle considerably fewer solar modules in the future, notably for larger-scale installations such as those on factory buildings and ground mounted systems. At the same, it is possible to use significantly longer strings to connect the Sovello SV-L modules to the inverter than is the case for standard modules thanks to their low-voltage configuration. The end result is that system operators realize large savings on installation, balance of system and labor costs.

With its SV-L solar module, Sovello remains one of the few solar module manufacturers offering products both for large-scale installations as well as a practical module, the Sovello SV-T series, for smaller rooftop installations. The SV-L module complements Sovello’s product portfolio of high-performance quality modules and solutions which has allowed the company to achieve a solid market position. The letter L stands for “large” and “low voltage”.

The advantages of Sovello solar modules lie in performance, quality, sustainability and project costs. Quite recently, Sovello has announced an industry-leading linear performance warranty. The warranty now provides a linear performance guarantee with a starting point of 99 % of the minimum rated power for the first year of operation and, thereafter, an annual degradation not exceeding 0.6 % for the next 24 years. This means that Sovello modules are guaranteed to maintain no less than 85% of their rated power after 25 years in operation. Thanks to the highly automated and innovative manufacture process and the solar glass with anti-reflection coating the Sovello series have an improved module performance. Even in low light Sovello solar modules achieve above-average results and therefore maximum yield: in the case of solar radiation of a mere 200 W/m2, the loss of effectiveness is less than 4%. A PV system fitted with Sovello panels undergoes a faster economical and ecological amortization than PV systems with modules of other manufacturers. This can be put down to the positive output tolerance, to the outstanding power figures, as well as under low light, and to the significantly less energy expenditure during production.

To find out more about the Pure Power solar modules, visit us in Hall 6, Stand K 700, energaïa at the International Fair Montpellier, together with our partner Solapro.

About Sovello:
Sovello AG is one of the world’s largest integrated manufacturers of photovoltaic solar wafers, solar cells and solar modules. Sovello’s vision is to become the leading sustainable company in the global industry for photovoltaic technology and renewable energies. The high-performance solar modules made by Sovello are different from conventional, multicrystalline solar modules being manufactured in a particularly resource-efficient way and enjoy short energy amortization: When producing STRING RIBBONTM wafers in its factories, Sovello uses up to 50 % less silicon and consumes up to 50 % less energy compared to traditional silicon based technologies.

Sovello operates three production sites in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Sachsen-Anhalt. The first plant, SV1, began operating in June 2006. In June 2007, Sovello brought its second production site SV2 online. With its third completed production site, SV3, the Sovello group now has a total annual production capacity of 180 MWp in Germany and 40 MWp in Canada. Capacity is set to increase further. Sovello employs around 1,250 people at its sites in Bitterfeld-Wolfen. In 2010, the company has widened its focus to gain access to a number of promising international markets.

Owners of a PV system get a guaranteed stated rate per kilowatt-hour for 20 years. For it, the solar electricity has to be consumed by oneself or fed in to the power supply system. Personal consumption is worthwhile under certain conditions. The sum of the price per kilowatt-hour of the electricity provider and of the personal consumption rate is greater than the feed-in tariff of a PV system in case of feeding in all electricity produced.

Sovello‘s photovoltaic panels are suitable for the agriculture. The German Agricultural Society (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft) verifies the Ammonia Resistance. The panels can be used within PV systems near the coast. This result was determined by the accredited test institute TÜV Rhineland. The solar modules can withstand high wind and snow loads. As well, the German magazine ‚Öko-Test‘ confirmes: Sovello panels were rated as „excellent“ in issue 4/2010, the performance tolerance exceeds the nominal power. The surpassed panel power is caused by the highly automated and innovative production process and by the solar glass with anti-reflection coating. In case of cloud, PV systems fitted with Sovello modules provide efficient electricity production and therefore an additional source of income. Even under conditions of solar radiation of a mere 200 W/m², the loss of effectiveness is less than 4 per cent.

Sovello Announces Industry-Leading Warranty Based on Nearly Zero Cell Degradation

Sovello introduces a new performance...

New Pure Power SV-L Modules Also Reduce Installation Costs

Sovello introduces a new performance warranty for its solar modules highlighting its leading technology in using solar cells with nearly zero light-induced degradation and asserting its exceptional quality. The expanded performance warranty is effective retroactively from October 1, 2011 and valid for all module deliveries from Sovello and Sovello wholesalers worldwide.

Sovello modules are guaranteed to maintain no less than 85% of their rated power after 25 years in operation.

Minimal light-induced degradation of Sovello cells, which are based on STRING RIBBONTM wafers, is one of the pillars of this industry-leading warranty. In contrast with conventional ingot-based production processes Sovello's process is characterized by adding less oxygen to the grown wafers. This means that compared to conventional crystalline cells Sovello solar cells are significantly less prone to the build-up of metal-boron-oxygen compounds and, therefore, carry a much lower risk of light-induced power loss in early operation.
Sovello’s second cornerstone, its premium quality “Made in Germany”, is combined with this technological advantage of nearly zero cell degradation to provide solar modules of world-class durability. Every Sovello Pure Power solar module passes 130 quality checks. On top of the above mentioned performance warranty Sovello modules are also backed by a 10-year warranty on workmanship.
To ensure excellent energy yields Sovello modules are covered by highly transparent solar glass with anti-reflective coating. The technological edge of the cells and their innovative interconnection ensure that Sovello modules provide the highest possible output even in low light situations and perform above average under partial shading. Sovello’s modules are relatively lightweight and, hence, easy to handle and are suitable for any kind of installation. By producing STRING RIBBONTM wafers, converting them into cells and assembling them into modules in a fully integrated ISO 9001 and 14001 certified factory in Germany, Sovello products feature one of the best environmental and carbon footprints in the industry.
Sovello AG is presenting its new solar module “Pure Power SV-L low voltage” at SPI in Dallas from October 18th to 20th, 2011. Adding around 10 percent module surface area, the SV-L series builds further on the advantages of its predecessor, the X-Series, and helps to reduce balance-of-system costs, notably for larger-scale installations, such as commercial and agricultural roof-top or ground mounted systems “The SV-L module complements Sovello’s product portfolio of high-performance quality modules and solutions which has allowed us to achieve a solid market position.” says Ted Scheidegger, CEO of Sovello AG. The letter L stands for “large” and “low voltage”.
“US consumers benefit from a high quality and high energy yield product that is reliable over many decades from a manufacturer that has a long term vision for solar energy,” stated Mark Simmons, COO of ClearEnergy Inc., Sovello’s US distribution and solutions partner.

Leading Wafer Innovation

Thalheim, Germany. At only 135µm thickness, Sovello produces the world’s thinnest crystalline wafers used in a photovoltaic industrial manufacturing process. As an integrated manufacturer Sovello is now in a position to produce wafers and cells far thinner than any other PV manufacturer. The pilot manufacturing of these cells is in ongoing ramp-up.

Sovello Chief Technology Officer, Hans-Jörg Axmann explains: “For several years Sovello has been independently developing STRING RIBBON™ products. We are the first company to reach this break-through which has been an objective of the PV Industry for many years. I am truly excited we have achieved this milestone. This program demonstrates the specific advantages and potential of our unique innovative technology.”

The specific advantage of this technology: Sovello produces wafers with less than half the silicon and energy consumption required by traditional wafer sawing processes.

Sovello CEO, Dr. Theodor (Ted) Scheidegger adds: ”Sovello’s thinner wafers and cells now allow an even more intelligent use of resources - this accompanied by continued high efficiency of our solar modules securing outstanding energy yield for our customers. Already now we contribute in a meaningful way to low impact renewable energy generation and reduction of greenhouse gases for the benefit of future generations.”

Sovello Customers Benefit from Additional Feed-in Bonus in Italy

All Sovello Solar Modules from Thalheim Meet Italy’s EU Bonus Criteria
Thalheim, 17 August 2011....

All Sovello Solar Modules from Thalheim Meet Italy’s EU Bonus Criteria

Thalheim, 17 August 2011. All X and T series Sovello modules officially meet the bonus criteria of Conto Energia IV, the Italian equivalent to the German Renewable Energy Act (EEG). This result was determined by the accredited test institute TÜV Rhineland. Owners of a PV system fitted with Sovello modules can now benefit from a 10 percent bonus. This will be added to existing subsidy rates. In addition to this, at least 60 percent of the material costs associated with a solar installation must be attributable to companies that produce within the EU. Modules constitute a significant proportion of the added value in a solar installation. All solar installations which are connected to the Italian grid after 31 May 2011 can claim the EU bonus, provided that they fulfil the origin criteria. The size and location of the installation is of no importance.

The certification of all Sovello modules renders investing in a solar power system even more attractive for our Italian customers. As a result, Sovello welcomes this certification wholeheartedly: “Our products are manufactured entirely in Germany: Firstly, the fully-integrated production at Thalheim encompasses every aspect of module manufacturing, from melting silicon and the STRING RIBBONTM wafer to the solar cell finally assembled in a finished solar module. Secondly, we obtain the majority of our primary materials from the EU. This means that our EU value-added percentage, as a whole, is comfortably above 60 percent. Thanks to our high-performance quality modules, customers in the globally important Italian market can now benefit from the feed-in bonus,” states Dr. Ted Scheidegger, CEO of the Sovello Group, in reference to the certification.

The Conto Energia IV, which came into force in June 2011, applies to every installation that came online after 31 May 2011. The Italian government has revised and passed the relevant subsidy measures. The Italian Ministry for Economic Development issued a decree in May that regulates subsidies for solar systems until 2016. The legislation foresees a total installed capacity of 23 gigawatts by the end of 2016.

Sovello Projects GmbH has become Soventix GmbH with immediate effect. The Company’s CEO since April 2011, Thorsten Preugschas, will move to add additional PV project development specialists to the team operating out of the head office in Duisburg.

“The accumulation of expertise in this field is of critical importance to remaining competitive in the long term, particularly in view of the current significant shift in energy policy being experienced in Germany and, increasingly, in other parts of Europe. The new company name is a key element of our strategy to promote a new brand, create a new presence and establish a new name – only those who are highly visible in the market are able to convince others of their expertise. With Sovello at our side as manufacturer, we also have direct access to quality PV modules ‘made in Germany’, which underpin this claim as far as our products are concerned”, explains Preugschas.

Founded as a spin-off in April 2010 immediately after Ventizz Capital Fund IV became a shareholder in Sovello, Soventix engages in the development, planning and marketing of turnkey PV systems in global markets.
